As soon as I saw people sharing pictures of this Lotso in ShopDisney stores on social media, I knew he needed to come and live with me, and I’ve been patiently waiting for him to be added to their online store. Finally on Friday last week he was, and I purchased him straight away!
I already have various plush versions of Lotso, including the Thinkway Signature Collection one (though sadly not in box), but this one is definitely my new ultimate favourite! His box is really nice and he is presented well in it. He of course smells of strawberries, and he talks, saying various recognisable phrases.
However, the coolest thing about him is that he is articulated so he can stand and pose unaided! He isn’t jointed like a standard teddy bear, but instead has a bendable “skeleton” hidden inside. You can bend his arms, and his legs, and his feet are nice and flat so that he can stand really well. The range of movement and poseability is actually really good and I’m just so excited about all the possibilities with him with regards to photos etc. He comes with his cane too (plush) which sticks to his paw with Velcro.
Honestly, he is one of my most favourite items from all the recent Toy Story releases, and probably even one of my favourite pieces in my collection now. For £30 as well, I just think he is absolutely amazing. I highly, highly recommend him. The one thing I will warn of for in-box collectors, is that he does not work for the “try me” feature in box. Unfortunately the manufacturers seem to have forgotten to remove the plastic tab in the voicebkx inside his back so when he is brand new in box, he won’t work if you press his paw to “try” him. You will have to open the box and take him out to take the tab out the voicebox to get him to talk. If you find one in store that does talk, it’s because the stores have been instructed to take one out and activate it for display in store so it can be seen working, so you might want to just check the tabs where the box is held shut to make sure they aren’t torn or anything as they could easily become torn when opening it if not done with real care. It wasn’t a huge problem for me, as I always de-box, but I know that will be an issue for a lot if in-box collectors so I wanted to let you know.
Thanks for reading!

He is soooo cute! Thank you for sharing, I was contemplating buying him, but now knowing he can stand up on his own, it’s definitely swayed more towards the purchase!
