I had a special themed week on my Instagram account where I shared a colouring sheet depicting a different ”famous” dinosaur character each day.
Today’s colouring sheet needs a bit of an explanation… When I was researching famous dinosaur characters of the 80s/90s, I came across an article that stated that Big Bird from Sesame Street is actually a dinosaur. Apparently there was an episode in which they were learning about dinosaurs and discovered that birds descended from dinosaurs, so therefore Big Bird must be a dinosaur. I then found a video of Big Bird, Elmo and Rosita doing the dinosaur dance, and Big Bird is dressed as a Dilophosaurus. That of course made me think of Jurassic Park, and so I decided to do a little mash up drawing combining the two! You can download the PDF file below:
